Cleaning and maintaining your bathware
Pietra Bianca bathtubs are made of resin and a high content of natural stone and minerals and may have minor variations in colour and surface texture throughout the tub. This is normal and part of the unique, hand-crafted beauty.
Instructions
Like every bath, stone baths require routine care in order for them to remain in good condition. Follow these instructions to maintain your bathtub with only a minimal amount of care.
1We recommend cleaning with soapy water after each use followed with drying your bath tub with a clean dry cloth/towel.
It is vital that you rinse and dry the surface of the bath using a towel after each use. this is to prevent mineral or soap scum accumulating on the surface of the stone bath, leaving it unsightly and possibly discolouring the stone.
2 Remove dust or dry dirt with a soft, damp cloth.
3 For more stubborn stains, scrub using a wet scourer and a mild abrasive cleaner such as Gumption making sure to remove all residue by thoroughly rinsing the surface. Remember to wipe the entire surface completely dry when your done. If the problem remains you may need to repeat these steps a few more times applying more pressure .
4 Avoid using razor blades or other sharp objects that might scratch the surface.
5 Do not use harsh chemicals, such as Solvents, hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, paint thinner, chloride solvents, strong acid-based products as these will permanently damage the finish.
6 Avoid any bath products that contain natural or artificial dyes. Test product first on an inconspicuous area before using. We do not recommend using bath bombs or any kind of salts in your bathtub.
7 The bath water must be emptied after every use. Do not leave the bath full of water as this can leave a build up on the surface. Rinse and dry with a towel after every use.
Improper use may damage the bath tubs and/or their finish, resulting in a void warranty. Please read our warranty for more information.
